AUTOMATION ENGINEER

Functions

• Play an active role in the project team from the technical definition stage onwards, contributing to decision-making in the area of design in order to achieve the set objectives. • Carry out the project’s programme design in accordance with the technical guidelines, deadlines, costs, quality standards, standardisation and any other parameters that improve cost-effectiveness, as specified in the initial data, requirements and project schedule. • Ensure the correct execution of functional and programme verification tests, both at MTorres and at the final installation site, by generating the necessary protocols or checklists. • Identify and implement, as part of continuous improvement and R&D, solutions that enhance the product in terms of cost, quality, functionality, maintenance, etc. • Provide remote support services, whether for installation or maintenance, commissioning, troubleshooting, etc. • Identify and communicate to the organisation customer needs and business opportunities, whether relating to new equipment, retrofits, spare parts or services of any kind (maintenance, training, etc.) WE OFFER: • A role with a leading client company in Technology and Development, working on an exciting business project. • You will work as part of a collaborative team, where close team ties foster the exchange of ideas, a proactive approach and professional development. • Induction programme and ongoing training • A permanent role with an attractive salary, commensurate with the role and the value you bring to the organisation. • Working hours: 7.00 am to 3.00 pm

Requirements

• Knowledge of industrial electronics, programming and automation. • Programming of PLCs, HMI screens and/or industrial robots. • Willingness to travel internationally.

Training

• University degree in Engineering or Higher Vocational Training: Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Degree in Industrial Technologies, Higher Vocational Training in Industrial Automation and Robotics. Alternatively, engineering degrees related to the specialisms of Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Automation or Telecommunications. THE FOLLOWING WILL BE CONSIDERED AN ADVANTAGE: • Experience in commissioning new industrial equipment. • Extensive knowledge of Siemens (TIA Portal, Step7, WinCC, Starter), Rockwell (Logix5000, FTView ME) and KUKA or Kawasaki robots. • Additional knowledge of programming languages and object-oriented programming.

Languages

• B2 level spoken and written English.

Experience

• Over 3 years’ experience in fieldwork involving industrial machinery and automation.
