Navarra successfully executes EU Funds, securing €209 million to boost key sectors

30 de April de 2025

The Government of Navarra has secured €209
million in European funds by successfully executing nearly 100% of the financed
projects. These include investments in employment and businesses, healthcare,
educational centers, sports, and cultural and natural heritage. ?

Specifically, after completing the
expenditure justification period to the European Commission in December 2024,
Navarra achieved 100% execution of projects under the European Social Fund
(ESF) and over 98% under the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). This
figure includes REACT funds, launched by the European Union in response to the
COVID-19 pandemic to reactivate the economy and strengthen public services.
These funds provided an additional €145 million for various projects.

More than 650 companies have benefited from
this funding under the ERDF program. Through the ESF program, over 5,200
individuals have become self-employed, 8,600 have received training provided by
the Navarre Employment Service-Nafar Lansare (SNE-NL), and 45 local entities
have received funding for their Protected Social Employment programs between
2019 and 2023. ?

Navarra continues to commit to the ERDF and
ESF+ programs for the 2021-2027 period, focusing on competitiveness,
digitalization, employment promotion, inclusion, and environmental
sustainability. ? Further information
