Navarra invests €245,000 to promote healthier communities through sport

22 de July de 2026

This week,
while Spain celebrates becoming two-time FIFA World Cup champions,
Navarra is reinforcing its own commitment to sport by investing €245,000
in programmes that promote health through physical activity across local
communities.

The funding
will support local initiatives designed to encourage active lifestyles, prevent
illness and improve both physical and mental wellbeing. Municipalities across
the region will be able to expand sports and physical activity programmes
tailored to different age groups and community needs.

Navarra
views sport as much more than competition. It is a driver of healthier
communities, active ageing, social inclusion and a better quality of life. This
people-centred approach has become one of the region’s defining strengths,
combining public investment with a long-term vision for wellbeing.

For
international professionals considering a move to Spain, Navarra offers an
environment where career opportunities go hand in hand with healthy living.
From extensive sports facilities and outdoor activities to a strong
institutional commitment to wellbeing, the region provides an ideal setting for
balancing work and personal life.

Because in
Navarra, success isn’t measured only at work—it is also reflected in how people
live.
