Boosting Innovation: Navarrese SMEs collaborate with Tech Startups

18 de June de 2025

A new
open innovation program connects Navarrese SMEs with tech startups, driving
innovation and bolstering their competitiveness in global markets.

On May 9, 2025, the Government of Navarra,
via the Department of Industry and Ecological, Digital Business Transition and
CEIN (European Center for Business and Innovation), launched a pilot open
innovation
program to foster collaboration between SMEs and tech startups.

Eight SMEs were selected in this first
phase: AIT, Aldakin, Cafés Mocay – Calidad Pascual, IED Electronicity,
Lacturale, Lev2050, Lizarte
, and Torraspapel Leitza. From sectors
including agri-food, automotive, engineering, and paper, these companies will
benefit from:
  • Personalized support to identify strategic challenges.
  • A public call for startups to propose innovative solutions.
  • Training in open innovation methodologies, which participants
    already received

The goal is to harness startups’ agility,
creativity, and technological expertise to transform industrial processes,
boost digitalization, and enhance SME competitiveness in Navarra.

This program is part of Tech FabLab, funded
by Next Generation funds via RETECH, in collaboration with Aragón, La Rioja,
Cantabria, Catalonia, and Valencia. Navarra strengthens its reputation as an
innovation leader, making it an appealing destination for global talent seeking
dynamic business ecosystems.
