SENIOR MECHANICAL DESIGNER

Functions

Reporting to the Head of Mechanical Engineering, your role will focus on: • Product design and development: providing solutions to ensure the correct technical definition of projects. Carrying out conceptual and detailed designs, and occasionally performing the necessary mechanical calculations. • Producing the relevant manufacturing and assembly drawings. • Ensuring compliance with the budget allocated for the design. • Ensuring compliance with quality procedures and internal regulations. • Product innovation and improvement: identifying and developing innovative solutions that deliver improvements in cost, quality, functionality, maintenance, etc. WE OFFER: • A role with a leading client company in Technology and Development, working on an exciting business project. • You will work within a collaborative team, where close team dynamics facilitate the exchange of ideas, proactivity and professional development. • Induction programme and ongoing training • A permanent role with an attractive salary, commensurate with the position and the value you bring to the role. Requirements

• A degree in Mechanical Design Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, a Higher-Level Vocational Training qualification in Mechanical Manufacturing, or equivalent. • A Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, specialising in mechanics; a Master’s degree in Materials and Manufacturing Engineering; or a Master’s degree in Mechanical Design Engineering would be an advantage. • At least 4 years’ experience in design, development, manufacturing and product lifecycle support for industrial products (conceptual design, drawings, 3D modelling, calculations, integration, technical documentation). • Experience in using CAD software, preferably Catia V5’s mechanical design modules. • Strong ability to work as part of a team in a multi-project environment. • Willingness to travel internationally on an occasional basis.

Training

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Design Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Higher-Level Vocational Training in Mechanical Manufacturing or equivalent. • A Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering (specialising in mechanics), a Master’s degree in Materials and Manufacturing Engineering, or a Master’s degree in Mechanical Design Engineering would be an advantage.

Languages

• B2 level spoken and written English.

Experience

• At least 4 years’ experience in the design, development, manufacture and lifecycle support of industrial products (conceptual design, drawings, 3D modelling, calculations, integration, technical documentation).
