Navarra to build over 1,000 new affordable housing units by 2026

7 de January de 2026

The
Government of Navarra and the Association of Builders and Developers (ACP) have
reached an agreement to develop over 1,000 subsidized housing units across the
region in the next two years, making the region even more attractive for
newcomers and international talent.

In a major step to improve housing
accessibility, Navarra will promote the construction of 1,064 affordable
housing units
(VPO – Officially Protected Housing) by 2026. This initiative
comes through a strategic agreement between the Government of Navarra
and the Association of Builders and Developers (ACP), which enables the
use of private land for protected residential projects.

The new homes will be distributed across
various areas of Navarra, with a strong focus on high-demand zones such as
Pamplona, Tafalla, Tudela, and Estella. The aim is to alleviate pressure on the
rental market and ensure access to affordable, high-quality housing for both
locals and international residents.

This initiative is part of a broader
regional commitment to build 3,000 new subsidized homes between 2024 and
2026
, reinforcing Navarra’s status as a region with high quality of
life, stability, and inclusive growth
.

For international professionals considering
relocation, this project offers an added value: living in Navarra means
benefiting from strong public housing policies, alongside a dynamic job market
and cultural richness.
