The firm from Navarra won an international public tender competition, launched by the Inter-American Development Bank and the Government of Honduras through the electricity firm Empresa Nacional de Energía Eléctrica. It will develop two hybrid micro-networks totalling 1 MWp of photovoltaic energy, 2.19 MWh of storage, and 1.950 kVA in backup generators. The facilities, representing an investment of around $8 million (€6.9 million), will benefit more than 10,000 people.
