Navarra brings together talent, innovation and entrepreneurship to shape the future of rural areas

2 de September de 2026

From 10
to 13 November
, Navarra will bring together professionals, institutions,
universities, businesses and young people from across Spain to explore
innovative solutions for one of today’s major territorial challenges: creating
a future full of opportunities in rural areas.

Estella-Lizarra
will host the second National Meeting of the Territorial Innovation Centres
Network (Red CIT) and Campus Rural programme
, which is expected to attract more
than 300 institutional representatives, experts, businesses, universities and
development professionals
.

The event
will provide a platform for knowledge exchange, networking and showcasing
transformative projects focused on innovation, entrepreneurship and territorial
cohesion. Navarra will also highlight the work of its own Territorial
Innovation Centre, launched in January 2025 with locations in Sangüesa and
Tierra Estella. It already collaborates with more than 50 local stakeholders
on training, business competitiveness and innovative rural initiatives.

At the same
time, Navarra will host Spain’s first National Congress of Rural Youth,
bringing together around 100 young people. The initiative will connect
younger generations with universities, public administrations and local
organisations to explore new ways of promoting talent, entrepreneurship and
innovation in rural communities.

For
international professionals, this also reveals another side of Navarra’s
employment ecosystem. Career opportunities are not limited to major cities:
rural businesses, entrepreneurs and organisations also need skilled people
capable of bringing new knowledge, ideas and international perspectives.

By hosting
this national gathering, Navarra is showing how demographic challenges can
become opportunities for innovation. For those looking for a different way to
build their career and their life, Navarra offers the possibility of combining
professional development, entrepreneurship, community and an exceptional
connection with nature.
