According to data from the<br \/>\nConfederation of Business Associations of Navarre (CEN), based on projections<br \/>\nfrom Spain\u2019s National Statistics Institute (INE), the region must attract<br \/>\naround <b>145,000 new people<\/b> by 2050 to preserve its economic stability.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span lang=\"EN-US\"><br \/><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span lang=\"EN-US\">One of the main challenges is the <b>aging<br \/>\npopulation<\/b>. In 2022, 20% of Navarre\u2019s population was over the age of 64. By<br \/>\n2050, this is expected to rise to 30%, meaning a shrinking working-age<br \/>\npopulation and increasing pressure on the region\u2019s economic and social systems.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span lang=\"EN-US\"><br \/><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span lang=\"EN-US\">Compounding the issue is <b>low birth rate<\/b><br \/>\nand the <b>late labor market entry<\/b> of young people. As noted by <b>Javier<br \/>\nIradiel<\/b>, Talent and Employment Lead at CEN, many young workers are entering<br \/>\nthe job market too late due to extended education paths and a mismatch between<br \/>\ntheir training and labor market needs.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span lang=\"EN-US\"><br \/><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span lang=\"EN-US\">Additionally, <b>labor shortages<\/b> are<br \/>\nalready being felt in key sectors like construction, hospitality, and industry.<br \/>\nBusinesses are struggling to fill vacancies, making it essential to <b>attract<br \/>\ninternational talent<\/b> to complement the local workforce.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span lang=\"EN-US\"><br \/><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span lang=\"EN-US\">Navarre continues to rank as one of the<br \/>\nmost attractive regions in Spain for living and working, offering quality of<br \/>\nlife, safety, innovation, and professional opportunities.
